Specific professional orientation:

Prof. Dr. Branko Beleslin is a cardiologist from Belgrade with extensive experience in working with patients suffering from cardiovascular diseases. He has built his professional career at the Clinic for Cardiology of the University Clinical Center of Serbia.

Prof. Beleslin served as the president of the Association of Cardiologists of Serbia from 2015 to 2017, and currently holds the position of the chairperson of the branch of the American College of Cardiology for Serbia and Republika Srpska. He is a member of significant domestic and international associations and actively participates as a lecturer in conferences and professional gatherings.

Prof. Beleslin is the head of the Doctoral Studies in Cardiovascular Research at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Belgrade, and has published over 150 papers in renowned international scientific journals. He leads the Department of Functional Cardiovascular Diagnostics and Hemodynamics at the Clinic for Cardiology of the University Clinical Center of Serbia.

He has been affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine, University of Belgrade since 1998, and has been a full professor in the field of internal medicine/cardiology since 2018.

Prof. Dr. Branko Beleslin is engaged in the diagnosis and treatment of chronic coronary artery disease, acute coronary syndrome, hypertension, heart failure, and valvular disorders.

Professor Beleslin provides the following services at the Pulse Cardiology Center:

  • Cardiological examinations
  • ECG (electrocardiogram) of the heart
  • Echocardiography
  • Other consultations and patient preparations
  • Interventional cardiology procedures

 

He has continually enhanced his expertise both nationally and internationally, often serving as an invited speaker at conferences. He is the author and co-author of over 150 papers in reputable international scientific journals in the field of cardiology. Additionally, he serves as the chief editor of three publications in cardiology.

In the field of cardiology in Serbia, Prof. Beleslin introduced invasive functional testing for assessing the significance of lesions in coronary arteries, pharmacological non-invasive tests, treatment of aortic stenosis through the TAVI procedure, and treatment with stem cells for weakened heart muscles due to coronary artery disease.

Today, he is recognized as an advocate for a healthy lifestyle for all patients with cardiovascular problems.

  • 1991 – 1995 – Faculty of Medicine, University of Belgrade – Specialization in Internal Medicine.
  • 1995 – Faculty of Medicine, University of Belgrade – Master’s degree in the field of cardiology.
  • 2006 – Faculty of Medicine, University of Belgrade – PhD in the field of cardiology.
  • 2012 – Subspecialization in Cardiology
