Specific professional orientation
Prof. Dr. Petar Otašević is a specialist in internal medicine with a subspecialization in cardiology. He is an exceptional expert with rich professional and academic experience. He gained over 20 years of professional experience at the Institute for Cardiovascular Diseases in Dedinje, where he currently holds the position Head of the Cardiology Clinic. For many years, he has been engaged in teaching internal medicine (cardiology) at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Belgrade. At the Pulse Cardiology Center, he performs cardiac interventions in the Cath-lab.

Awards, articles, publications:
He was the winner of the award for the best young researcher awarded by the cardiology section of the Serbian Medical Society (SLD) in 2000.
Professor Otašević is the author of numerous professional and scientific articles and chapters in textbooks. He was a member of the organizing committees of various scientific meetings and symposia. He is a lecturer at many national meetings on the topic of problems, prognosis, and therapy of patients with heart failure, as well as decisions on how to treat patients with complex acquired valvular defects (Mitral stenosis, Mitral insufficiency, Mitral valve prolapse, Aortic stenosis, Aortic insufficiency, Tricuspid stenosis, Tricuspid insufficiency, Pulmonary stenosis, Pulmonary insufficiency).
